The patient measuress his temperature twice a day with his own thermometer (preferably rectally, or in the ear with a good thermometer) and then disinfect the thermometer with 70% alcohol and wash hands. The data is noted daily.
The GGD (local health practitioner) has assigned the person a “case manager”. This person has contact with the patient at least once a day to assess the development of the situation.
